Using a scan of a complete tree, I retopologized the model in blender allow for complex deformations.

Using retopology, a 3D modeling technique to lower the processing requirements allowing for fast deformations of models. I decided practice with a very complex natural form. This is a 3D scan of a living tree that I retopologized allowing me to run distortion simulations on the model. The image shows the gold retopologized model melting out of the original scan.
